How to repair hypertrophic scarring one year after eye corner opening surgery
Disease description:
It has been a year since I had eye corner surgery, but I'm still experiencing keloid formation. How should this be corrected?
One year after epicanthoplasty, if hypertrophic scarring occurs and repair is desired, scar-inhibiting ointments can be applied under a doctor's guidance. Commonly used medications include mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream and compound heparin sodium allantoin gel. If the area of hypertrophic scarring is large and topical treatments are ineffective, surgical excision of the hypertrophic tissue may be considered.
