MRI findings of hepatic hemangioma
Disease description:
I had an ultrasound that revealed a hepatic hemangioma, and my doctor recommended an MRI. I would like to know what the MRI findings of hepatic hemangioma are.
MRI findings of hepatic hemangioma are as follows: First, a round or lobulated mass with well-defined margins can be observed in the liver. Second, the mass shows homogeneous signal intensity on T1-weighted images and high signal intensity on T2-weighted images, with increasing signal intensity as the echo time lengthens. Additionally, during contrast-enhanced scanning, slow centripetal enhancement of the lesion is observed, with blood flow progressing from the periphery toward the center.
