Can fetal hemangioma be detected during prenatal examinations?

Disease description:

After the child was born, a hemangioma was found on the body. We didn't notice it during previous prenatal checkups, so I'm just curious—can fetal hemangiomas be detected during routine prenatal examinations?

Whether fetal hemangiomas can be detected during prenatal examinations depends on the size of the tumor. If the hemangioma is relatively large, it may be identified during a 4D ultrasound scan; however, smaller hemangiomas are generally difficult to detect and thus may not be found. Some benign hemangiomas may spontaneously regress and be absorbed as the child grows older. If the hemangioma does not resolve on its own, medical treatments such as laser therapy or cryotherapy at a hospital can be used for removal.
