How to effectively treat ascites due to liver disease
Disease description:
Diagnosed with hepatic ascites during a hospital checkup, I would like to know what treatment methods are most effective for hepatic ascites.
For hepatic ascites, it is recommended to use diuretics under a doctor's guidance until the ascites significantly decreases. Albumin infusion can also be used to increase plasma osmotic pressure, thereby promoting fluid removal from the ascites. Additionally, paracentesis may be performed to directly drain the accumulated fluid. Furthermore, in daily diet, excessive salt intake should be avoided; reducing sodium levels in the blood helps decrease water and sodium retention.
