What should I do if the outer corner of my eye has reverted after being surgically widened?
Disease description:
I had an outer canthoplasty a while ago, but recently I've noticed it's shrinking back. What should I do?
If the outer corner of the eye retracts after being surgically widened, mild cases can initially be monitored. If, after six months, swelling has subsided and the scar has noticeably softened, the retraction usually improves significantly. However, if the retraction of the outer eye corner is severe, it is recommended that patients undergo a secondary corrective surgery three months after the initial procedure.
