Surgery is commonly used to treat axillary odor. However, scarring may still occur after surgery, especially in individuals with a predisposition to scar formation. Additionally, the surgical site will have a wound, and if bacteria invade, it could lead to infections, swelling, fever, pain, or even pus formation. Moreover, if the surgeon is not sufficiently skilled, there is a risk of damage to the axillary nerves.
