Dr. Li Qiang
If epicanthoplasty is performed at a hospital without proper qualifications and under non-sterile conditions, it may lead to eye infections. After surgery, noticeable scarring at the corner of the eye may occur, accompanied by pain or swelling. If the surgeon lacks adequate expertise, over-correction may happen, and in severe cases, complications such as incomplete eyelid closure or eyelid ectropion could develop.
