Emphysema-induced pulmonary hypertension can be treated with medications for controlling pulmonary arterial pressure under a doctor's guidance. Commonly used drugs include calcium channel blockers such as nimodipine and amlodipine. If the patient also experiences symptoms of dyspnea, bronchodilators should be added to improve breathing; commonly used bronchodilators include salbutamol and terbutaline.
