Can you eat white radish soup if you have kidney yang deficiency?
Disease description:
My mom made a pot of white radish soup today at lunch, but I have a constitution of kidney yang deficiency. May I eat it?
Patients with kidney yang deficiency are generally advised not to consume white radish soup. White radish soup is highly nutritious and helps improve digestion and promote the flow of qi to dissipate blood stasis. However, it is not recommended for individuals with kidney yang deficiency, as it may worsen symptoms and lead to diarrhea, abdominal pain, and similar discomforts. Instead, patients can eat qi-tonifying foods such as red dates, Chinese yam, black sesame seeds, and goji berries.
