When administering botulinum toxin injections to the forehead, if an unqualified facility is chosen or the procedure is improperly performed by the physician—resulting in excessive dosage—it may inhibit facial nerves, leading to forehead stiffness. Additionally, if the injected substance diffuses to surrounding areas, it may cause ptosis (drooping of the upper eyelid), manifesting as difficulty opening the eyes. In patients with special constitutions, allergic reactions may occur, and in some cases, granuloma formation might develop.
