What are the symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia?
Disease description:
Today, a friend told me that during her gynecological examination, the doctor diagnosed her with vulvar leukoplakia. I would like to know what symptoms does vulvar leukoplakia present?
Lichen sclerosus of the vulva, also known as chronic vulvar dystrophy, typically presents with thickening of the vulvar skin. The labia majora and minora usually become whitish and may show mild atrophy. In severe cases, adhesions can occur or the labia minora may completely disappear. As the condition progresses, it may affect normal urination, cause difficulty during sexual intercourse, and potentially impact future pregnancy and childbirth.
