Irregular non-menstrual bleeding may be caused by conditions such as threatened miscarriage, embryonic demise, ectopic pregnancy, or extrauterine pregnancy. It can also result from inadequate luteal function or incomplete luteal regression. Additionally, organic lesions such as cervical polyps, endometrial polyps, or submucosal fibroids may also lead to irregular bleeding outside the menstrual period.
