What does it mean when vaginal discharge turns yellow?
Disease description:
Today when washing my underwear, I noticed the vaginal discharge had turned yellow, whereas it used to be white. I'm wondering what might be causing this?
Yellowish vaginal discharge may be a normal physiological phenomenon, as discharge often turns yellow after oxidation and typically has no unusual odor. It could also indicate bacterial vaginosis, which is usually caused by poor vulvar hygiene or unclean sexual practices leading to disruption of the normal vaginal flora. This condition may be accompanied by symptoms such as vulvar itching and pain.
