Dr. Pan Yongyuan
A mucous thread count of over 700 may be due to an elevated number of white blood cells in the patient's urine, leading to white blood cell sedimentation. The patient requires anti-infective treatment. However, if a patient has a mucous thread count over 700 but no symptoms, and there are no red or white blood cells in the urine, the high mucous thread count may simply result from insufficient water intake. In such cases, no specific treatment is needed—simply increasing fluid intake is sufficient. Additionally, during treatment, the patient should maintain a light diet.
