Do not have sexual intercourse the day after a cervical screening if there is no bleeding. If the cervical screening result is negative and there is no bleeding the next day, it is generally recommended to wait 1–2 days before resuming sexual activity. The day after cervical cancer screening, some patients may experience bleeding because during the screening process, a brush is typically used to collect cells from the cervix and cervical surface. In such cases, the procedure may cause minor trauma to the surface cells and tissue of the cervix.
