What are the manifestations of chronic appendicitis?

Chronic appendicitis presents with symptoms such as abdominal pain and gastrointestinal discomfort. Abdominal pain and tenderness usually occur in the right lower quadrant, but are often felt only when pressure is applied. Patients may also experience constipation and weight loss. Once diagnosed with chronic appendicitis, surgical intervention is generally recommended, especially for pathological cases with a history of acute episodes, and surgery should be performed as early as possible. If medical treatment is chosen, temporary conservative management may be considered; however, if the condition worsens during treatment, timely surgical intervention is necessary.
