What are the symptoms of internal bleeding?
Disease description:
Recently, I've been passing black stools when going to the bathroom and suspect there may be bleeding. What are the symptoms of internal organ bleeding?
Visceral bleeding may present symptoms such as gastrointestinal hemorrhage, intestinal bleeding, or pulmonary hemorrhage. If blood loss is excessive, anemia and even shock may occur. Pulmonary hemorrhage can cause hemoptysis (coughing up blood), upper gastrointestinal bleeding, vomiting of blood, and black, tarry stools. In most cases, visceral bleeding has a low chance of healing spontaneously and typically requires hospital-based interventional treatment. Surgery is often the best option, followed by postoperative anti-infective therapy, including intravenous antibiotics and oral hemostatic medications.
