Patients with colchicine overdose poisoning typically present symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. Once poisoning occurs, the patient should be immediately sent to the hospital for treatment, and further use of colchicine must be stopped. Gastric lavage and enemas can be performed to promote the elimination of colchicine from the body. Potassium permanganate should not be used during gastric lavage; instead, sodium bicarbonate solution may be used. For patients experiencing muscle tremors, administration of 10% calcium gluconate intravenously can help alleviate symptoms.
