Pharyngitis can improve after surgical removal of the tonsils. However, once laryngitis has developed, it may not necessarily be completely cured by tonsillectomy, though significant improvement is possible, and timely treatment remains necessary. Regular exercise to enhance immunity can also help prevent recurrence of pharyngitis. The patient's tonsils are inflamed lymphatic tissues; after tonsil removal, other lymphatic tissues in the pharynx will compensate through proliferation.
