You can speak 14 days after vocal polyp surgery, but speaking time should be short and volume low. Each time you speak, you must protect your throat, avoid excessive vocalization, as it may hinder wound healing. Especially after surgery, the vocal cords have not fully recovered and are still vulnerable; therefore, vocal use must be limited. Otherwise, severe swelling may easily occur. After one month, vocal cord function will basically recover, allowing normal speech.
