What should I do for skin redness, swelling, and retinal hemorrhage?
Disease description:
For the past two days, I've noticed redness and swelling of the skin around my eyes, along with bleeding under the eyes. What should I do about skin redness, swelling, and subconjunctival hemorrhage?
Patients with retinal hemorrhage should go to the hospital as early as possible for fluorescein angiography or ocular CT scan to determine the cause of bleeding, followed by appropriate treatment based on the diagnosis. Retinal hemorrhage is often caused by diabetic complications such as retinal vein occlusion or retinopathy. Only targeted therapy can gradually improve the patient's symptoms. In daily life, patients should maintain a light diet and ensure adequate rest. Local warm moist compresses may also be applied to promote blood circulation and help resolve inflammation. Before applying the compress, an antibiotic eye ointment can be spread on the eyelid skin, followed by placing a warm towel or hot water bag over it. Maintain a comfortable temperature—warm but not too hot; the heat should be tolerable to the back of the hand to avoid burns.
