Symptoms of vertebral hemangiomas include spinal stiffness, restricted movement, and back pain or discomfort. If the tumor compresses nerves, it may lead to urinary or fecal incontinence, weakness and pain in the lower limbs, and numbness in the extremities. Additionally, vertebral hemangiomas may result from genetic or environmental factors, as well as trauma or certain medications.
