What causes light pink bleeding outside of the menstrual period?
Disease description:
It's not yet my menstrual period, but a small amount of pink blood has discharged from the vagina. I'm really scared and want to know what could be causing this.
Light pink bleeding outside of the menstrual period may be due to a significant rise in hormone levels during ovulation, causing slight shedding of the endometrium, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. It could also result from luteal phase deficiency in the patient, leading to asynchronous development of glands and stroma. Additionally, if the patient has uterine polyps that invade surrounding blood vessels, this may also cause the aforementioned symptoms.
