Why does bleeding occur during intercourse?

I've noticed vaginal bleeding during intercourse on these two recent occasions, which never happened before. I'd like to consult about what might be causing this?

Bleeding after intercourse may occur due to ovulation, during which the endometrium may shed slightly, leading to bleeding. It could also be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, in which sexual intercourse irritates the pelvic mucosa and results in bleeding. Additionally, it might be due to cervical inflammation, which commonly presents with blood-tinged vaginal discharge and can lead to bleeding after intercourse.
