Is it helpful to drink kuding tea for excessive liver fire?
Disease description:
I have excessive liver fire, a very irritable temper, and get angry easily. I've been considering drinking kuding tea these past couple of days to help relieve my excessive liver fire. Is kuding tea effective for treating excessive liver fire?
Patients with excessive liver fire can indeed benefit from drinking Kuding tea. Excessive liver fire refers to heat symptoms caused by hyperactivity of the liver's yang energy, commonly manifesting as dizziness, flushed face, red eyes, bitter taste in the mouth, irritability, and quick temper. Kuding tea, which is bitter and cold in nature, has effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, improving vision, and promoting saliva production. It enters the liver meridian, dispels liver wind, and clears the head and eyes, thus playing a positive role in relieving symptoms such as red and painful eyes and oral ulcers caused by excessive liver fire. However, drinking Kuding tea is not the only treatment for excessive liver fire. Patients should comprehensively adjust their diet and lifestyle according to their individual conditions. If symptoms of excessive liver fire are severe or persist for a prolonged period, timely medical consultation is recommended, along with following professional diagnosis and treatment advice. Patients may moderately consume Kuding tea while also maintaining good daily routines—avoiding late nights and overexertion, keeping a cheerful mood, and minimizing emotional fluctuations. Regarding diet, they should focus on light foods and avoid spicy, greasy, and other irritating foods.
