Symptoms of spleen constraint due to cold-dampness include a bland taste in the mouth without thirst, nausea with an urge to vomit, heavy sensation in the head and body, abdominal distension and pain, and sallow or dull-yellow complexion. Other possible manifestations include loose stools, reduced urine output, poor appetite, yellowing of the face and skin, and limb edema. Women may also experience increased vaginal discharge. Symptoms of spleen qi deficiency include loose stools, abdominal distension, reduced appetite, fatigue in the limbs, and pale-yellow complexion; additional possible symptoms include weight loss and edema.
