Fresh bleeding after intercourse may occur due to overly vigorous sexual activity, which can cause injury to the vaginal opening or vaginal mucosa and lead to blood vessel rupture. If the cervix has acute or chronic inflammation resulting in cervical ectropion (where columnar epithelium extends outward), polyps, or eroded surfaces, this phenomenon may also arise. Additionally, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (grades 1 to 3) or cervical cancer can also cause fresh bleeding during intercourse.
