Disease description:
Recently, I noticed that my teeth have been a bit painful. After going to the hospital for a checkup, the doctor said it's because my wisdom tooth is coming in. So, why do wisdom teeth grow? Are there any reasons or factors that cause this?
Wisdom tooth growth is a normal physiological phenomenon, referring to the third molar located at the very back of the dental arch in the human oral cavity. It typically erupts between the ages of 16 and 25. However, when wisdom teeth emerge, there may be insufficient space due to reduced length, width, and density of the jawbone, leading to impaction or other complications. Therefore, to prevent such problems, early preventive extraction is recommended.
