I've recently had symptoms of coughing and phlegm. After going to the hospital, the doctor diagnosed me with viral acute laryngitis. Could you please tell me what complications or consequences viral acute laryngitis might cause?

Dr. Zhang Liwen
Viral acute laryngitis primarily presents with symptoms such as sore and swollen throat, dryness and itching in the throat, or difficulty swallowing. Additionally, patients may experience coughing with phlegm. If no medication is taken or if irritating foods are frequently consumed, blood-tinged sputum or a sensation of a foreign body during swallowing may occur. In more severe cases, high fever may develop.
