Foods that are good sources of zinc
Disease description:
Is a friend's baby growing more slowly than children of the same age due to zinc deficiency? What are some foods that can help supplement zinc?
To supplement zinc, you can consume more foods that are high in vitamin D3, zinc, and protein, and low in calcium, copper, and dietary fiber. Foods such as oysters, herring, shellfish, shrimp skins, fish meal, sesame seeds, nori, peanuts, and pork liver are rich in zinc. However, the drawback of dietary supplementation is its slow effect. If you are aiming to prevent zinc deficiency or have only mild deficiency, dietary sources may be sufficient. For severe zinc deficiency or when rapid zinc replenishment is desired, zinc supplements are recommended.
