Initial symptoms of acute leukemia
Disease description:
A 1-year-old patient from Beijing was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Could you please tell me what the common early symptoms of acute leukemia are?
The early symptoms of acute leukemia can sometimes be atypical, and children may not be able to clearly express their discomfort. Children cannot articulate how they feel as adults might. Parents need to carefully observe whether the child has recently experienced decreased appetite, paler complexion than usual, anemia, fatigue, or upper respiratory infections. Normally, fever resolves within a few days. However, if the fever persists for more than a week, or even several weeks, leukemia should be suspected. Fever, anemia, bleeding, and recurrent infections may be the main manifestations of acute leukemia.
