The early symptoms of chronic leukemia depend on the type of disease. Chronic leukemia can be divided into two types: chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In the early stages, chronic myeloid leukemia mainly presents with increased white blood cell count and spleen enlargement. Early chronic lymphocytic leukemia is primarily characterized by elevated white blood cell count and swollen lymph nodes. Chronic leukemia is classified into chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Chronic myeloid leukemia can be managed long-term with medication, allowing patients to survive for extended periods, and it can also be cured through bone marrow transplantation. Currently, there is no cure for chronic lymphocytic leukemia; however, not all patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia require treatment—treatment is necessary only when there are indications for intervention.
