What are the late-stage symptoms of acute leukemia?

In the later stages of acute leukemia, symptoms such as bleeding, infection, organ infiltration, and even life-threatening complications commonly occur. Patients may develop high fever, often accompanied by signs of infection such as hemoptysis and sputum production, or organ hemorrhage including hematemesis, melena, and hematuria. Severe intracranial hemorrhage can be life-threatening. Organ infiltration may manifest as hepatosplenomegaly or cutaneous and mucosal sarcomas. It is recommended to maintain a balanced diet and actively pursue treatment to prevent disease progression.
