Leukemia varies in onset speed and is generally classified into acute and chronic types, each with distinct clinical manifestations. Acute leukemia is typically characterized by impaired bone marrow hematopoietic function (manifesting as anemia, fever, and bleeding) and infiltration due to leukemic cell proliferation (including lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, bone and joint pain, ocular, oral, and skin involvement, central nervous system involvement, and testicular infiltration). Chronic leukemia is commonly divided into chronic myeloid leukemia (with chronic phase, accelerated phase, and blast crisis) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, among other subtypes.
