What are the symptoms of bacteremia?
Disease description:
A few days ago, I went for a medical checkup, and after the results came back, the doctor told me I have bacteremia. What are the symptoms of bacteremia?
Symptoms of bacteremia usually include abnormal breathing, abnormal body temperature, dizziness, and nausea.
1. Abnormal breathing: As the condition worsens, patients may develop arrhythmia, decreased blood pressure, and abnormal respiration; more severe cases can lead to multi-organ dysfunction.
2. Abnormal body temperature: Patients with bacteremia may experience low-grade or high fever, often accompanied by chills, requiring close monitoring of body temperature for accurate assessment.
3. Dizziness and vomiting: Bacteremia can cause headaches and dizziness of varying degrees. A minority of patients may also develop mental disturbances or impaired consciousness. In more severe cases, patients may produce little or no urine.
