Is heel tendon pain caused by gout?
Disease description:
I've had gout for many years, and recently my Achilles tendon has been particularly painful. I wonder if the pain in my heel tendon could be caused by gout?
Heel tendon pain is generally not caused by gout, as gout primarily affects joints, most commonly the ankle joint, metatarsophalangeal joint, and knee joint. During an attack, these areas typically become swollen and red. If heel tendon pain occurs, it may be due to strenuous activity or other underlying causes. It is recommended to seek medical attention at a hospital as early as possible.
