Can color ultrasound detect early-stage liver cirrhosis?
Disease description:
Recently, I strongly suspect that I might have early-stage liver cirrhosis and would like to undergo a color ultrasound examination. Can early-stage liver cirrhosis be detected by color ultrasound?
Early cirrhosis can be detected by color Doppler ultrasound. The main ultrasonic manifestations of early cirrhosis include an uneven liver surface, and liver elasticity imaging can clearly reveal whether the liver has become hardened. If early ultrasonic signs of cirrhosis are present, patients should also undergo serological tests, such as liver function tests, viral load quantification, complete blood count, and coagulation function assessment. When necessary, gastroscopy and ascites examination may also be required to comprehensively evaluate disease progression.
