Additionally, grinning might be the child's way of expressing relief or pleasure, as the pain has subsided and they now feel more comfortable after the ulcer has healed. Parents should encourage the child to maintain good oral hygiene in daily life, avoid hard, hot, or spicy foods, and ensure the child receives adequate nutrition—especially nutrients beneficial for oral mucosal health, such as B vitamins, vitamin C, and iron. If the child continues to show grinning or other unusual behaviors after the ulcer has healed, parents should promptly consult a doctor or dental specialist to rule out any underlying health issues.
