As a severe infectious disease, AIDS typically does not directly cause anemia during its course. However, in the advanced stages of the disease, when the patient's physical condition significantly deteriorates—especially when normal eating becomes impossible—various degrees of anemia may develop due to inadequate nutritional intake. In the early stage of AIDS, patients commonly experience symptoms such as fever and generalized lymphadenopathy, which can serve as warning signs. For individuals who have engaged in high-risk sexual behaviors, it is recommended to visit a hospital for testing one month after intercourse to detect potential HIV infection as early as possible. If four consecutive tests yield negative results, HIV infection can be reliably ruled out.
