Disease description:

My first baby was delivered by cesarean section. I would like to have a vaginal birth this time, but I'm not sure if it's possible. Can I have a natural birth after a previous cesarean?

Vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) is generally possible for the second pregnancy following a first-time cesarean section. If there were no indications for cesarean delivery in the first pregnancy and no new contraindications arise during the second pregnancy, and if the fetus is of moderate size, the pelvis is normal, and the uterine scar has healed well, a vaginal delivery may be attempted. However, preparations for cesarean section must be made during labor. If fetal abnormalities occur or if there is any sign of uterine scar rupture during delivery, the delivery plan must be adjusted promptly.
