Pain on the outer side of the thigh during running may be caused by overexertion, muscle strain, or other reasons. If a person who rarely exercises suddenly runs excessively, lactic acid may accumulate, leading to pain on the outer side of the thigh. This can be relieved through heat application, massage, and similar methods. If proper warm-up is not performed before running or if incorrect running techniques are used, thigh muscles may become strained, resulting in outer thigh pain. In such cases, activity should be stopped immediately, and cold compresses should be applied within the first 24 hours.
