Sometimes, spontaneous nosebleeds occur in the left nasal cavity, which may require correcting bad habits and using medications. If the bleeding is simply due to damage of the nasal mucosa—such as frequent nose picking—it can lead to erosion of the mucosal lining. First, it's important to change this unhealthy habit. Topical application of vitamin E ointment, chlortetracycline ointment, or vitamin AD drops may help promote healing of the nasal mucosa. If the cause is a deviated septum on the left side, surgical intervention is recommended.
