Symptoms of chlorpromazine-type drug poisoning include difficulty swallowing, apathy, involuntary movements, trismus (lockjaw), etc. Severe poisoning may cause palpitations in children, cold extremities, decreased blood pressure, even shock, respiratory distress, constricted pupils, coma, and loss of reflexes. In cases of chlorpromazine-type drug poisoning, gastric lavage should be performed immediately, along with appropriate supportive treatments, such as measures to raise blood pressure. In severe cases, treatments including hemodialysis or plasma exchange may be required.
