Vagus nerve injury presents with symptoms such as dysphagia and hoarseness. When caused by firearm trauma, debridement and suturing should be performed as soon as possible to reduce infection and promote nerve recovery. For patients experiencing coughing while drinking or difficulty swallowing, liquid diet or nasogastric feeding can be used. Swallowing exercises and training should also be conducted simultaneously. In the later stages, hyperbaric oxygen therapy may be administered to facilitate patient recovery.
