The child at my uncle's home frequently has nosebleeds, and the family doesn't know how to treat it. I'd like to ask: how should recurrent nosebleeds in children be treated?

Dr. Wang Mingxuan
Children who frequently experience nosebleeds should have their blood pressure and tumor markers (four-item panel) checked. In addition, it is important to eat more vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water, and maintain adequate nutrition. For minor bleeding, applying local pressure can help stop the bleeding. Gauze or toilet paper may be used, but effective hemostasis requires sufficient pressure. In cases of severe bleeding, medical treatments such as cauterization, cryotherapy, sphenopalatine ganglion block injection, or home nasal packing can be performed at a hospital.
