What are the symptoms of pituitary tumors in women?

Women with pituitary adenomas may present with ptosis and diplopia. Because pituitary tumors can exert pressure on the frontal and bilateral temporal regions, they may cause pain in these areas. Meanwhile, pituitary tumors can also compress the optic nerves, leading to decreased vision, visual field defects, and changes in the fundus. Compression of cranial nerves by pituitary adenomas can result in symptoms such as ptosis, diplopia, extraocular muscle paralysis, and sensory abnormalities.
