What causes hip joint pain?
Disease description:
I haven't been injured nor do I have any illness, so why do I always feel hip pain? What could be causing hip pain?
Hip joint pain is caused by factors such as iliotibial band contracture or other pathological conditions. If the pain occurs at the bony prominence on the outer side of the hip, especially in young individuals, and is accompanied by a snapping sound during squatting, it is typically due to iliotibial band contracture. Pain deep within the groin area at the front of the hip is usually caused by intrinsic hip joint pathology, and patients are advised to seek timely medical evaluation and treatment at a hospital.
