How to treat cerebral thrombosis with edema
Disease description:
Grandpa often experiences symptoms such as limb paralysis and slurred speech. After a hospital examination, he was diagnosed with cerebral thrombosis accompanied by edema. How is cerebral thrombosis with edema treated?
Patients with severe cerebral edema due to cerebral thrombosis can be treated with furosemide or torasemide for diuresis. Furosemide and torasemide primarily act on the distal renal tubules, increasing urine output and reducing cerebral edema. In patients with particularly severe cerebral thrombosis, albumin may be used as an adjunctive treatment. Albumin has a dehydrating effect, although relatively mild, and is mainly indicated for patients who cannot tolerate mannitol or furosemide.
