Cervical spondylotic myelopathy typically does not cause generalized body pain. If widespread pain occurs, it may be due to other conditions such as malignancy, systemic infection, ankylosing spondylitis, or rheumatoid arthritis. Cervical spondylotic myelopathy primarily affects sensory and motor functions of the limbs, including numbness in both lower limbs, unsteady gait, and difficulty with fine motor tasks in both upper limbs.
