What to do about 33-week preterm birth
Disease description:
When I felt stomach pain, I immediately told my husband. After being rushed to the hospital, I was found to be experiencing contractions. What should I do about premature labor at 33 weeks?
Preterm infants born at 33 weeks require attention to warmth preservation and careful feeding. The room temperature should be maintained at 20–25°C, and the blanket temperature at 30–32°C. Bedrooms should be regularly ventilated by opening windows. Diaper changes should be done quickly to avoid exposing the baby to cold. Preterm infants grow rapidly and therefore need timely nutritional supplementation, preferably through breastfeeding. While in the hospital, mothers can express milk for nurses to feed the baby, and once home, they can directly breastfeed.
